The Emir will take part in a special prayer for rain on Tuesday at the Al Wajbah prayer ground, QNA reports. Several other mosques around the country will also perform the special istisqa prayer, which was done by the Prophet Mohammad and his congregation.
Qatar has been sprinkled with rain over the past week, but forecasters say more precipitation is unlikely. No rain is expected today, and there’s a 30 percent chance of it tomorrow and Tuesday, a forecaster at the Qatar Meteorology Department told Doha News.Â
Temperatures, which has for the past few days hovered around a high of 26C (79F) and a cool low of 19C (66F), are also expected to warm up this week, he added.
So, who’s going to join in and pray for rain?
