Egypt has returned a $1 billion deposit from Qatar that helped the country through the turmoil of the 2011 revolution, Reuters reports.
It cited the governor of Egypt’s central bank as saying “Yes, definitely” when asked if the debt had been repaid. Egyptian’s state news agency said it is now no longer owes Qatar any more money, the newswire added.
