‘Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic’ to make Middle East debut in Qatar this summer

Parents of small children who are not traveling this summer, take heart: Qatar will host the Middle East’s first Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic show this June.

The 90-minute performance, which runs from June 13 to June 16, will be hosted at the Qatar National Convention Center, and is set to include Disney’s favorite cast of characters, organizers said in a statement:

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast will be taking to the ice with beloved princesses Cinderella and Snow White.

Joining them are Woody and Buzz from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story, Nemo and Dori from Disney/Pixar’s Finding Nimo and even Stitch from Lilo and Stich drops into wreak his usual havoc during this grand celebration.

At the QNCC, engineers will spend two weeks building ice from scratch using some 48,000 liters of water, said organizers, which include the Qatar Tourism Authority and Feld Entertainment.
