Carnegie Mellon’s C Street Brass Ensemble to perform in Doha

The C Street Brass ensemble from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music will be in town from New York to host two free performances this week.

The brass quintet plays different genres of music including classical pop and contemporary music. The group has received high acclaim from world-renowned musicians such as Wynton Marsalis (who inaugurated Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha in the St. Regis Hotel), Chris Botti and Eric Ewazen.

The first performance will be held tomorrow, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, at Al Terrace Lounge in Al Mirqab Boutique Hotel at Souq Waqif. The second will take place at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar on Thursday, March 14. Welcome reception is at 5:30pm, and the performance will begin at 6pm.
