A new campaign to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding is being held this week at the Al Wakrah Hospital. Visitors are invited to ask experts questions and attend educational workshops in English and Arabic at the outpatient department through Thursday, May 26.

In a statement, doctors at the hospital said breastfeeding lowers infants’ risk of having asthma and allergies, and helps mothers burn extra calories and reduce their risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
